With nearly 3 miles of shoreline, Ramsey Lake attracts a lot of fishing families. Young anglers are rewarded by the healthy bluegill and redear sunfish populations.

DNR’s 2019 spring survey yielded 266 muskies, with 81% of the fish captured measuring greater than 30 inches. Nearly 10% were larger than 40 inches,with the largest being a 43-inch female.

In fishing tournaments during the summer of 2020, several largemouth over 6.5 pounds were weighed in, with the largest topping 7.25 pounds.
