The Missouri River has definitely been the place to go as area lakes have been a little slow.

In smaller tribs here, there should be some dropback steelhead, dropback or fresh-run browns and more smallmouth bass action coming on.

Report indicates good success in the lake pulling a mix of stick baits and spoons.

Anglers did well targeting coho salmon and smelt throughout the bay here, with cisco also being caught.

Fishing St. Louis County’s Johnson Lake delivers a little bit of adventure. This 1,736-acre fishery is certainly off the beaten path and requires some creativity just to reach via watercraft.
