Water temperatures are dropping a bit in fisheries across the state. So what will that mean for the fishing bite?

While crappies and northern pike are typically primary targets for anglers who frequent Borden, the lake also kicks out plenty of largemouth and smallmouth bass, produces some walleyes, and might even give up a rogue

There continues to be a lot of very solid panfish reports across the state and quite a bit of angling attention focused on them.

Winds and warm water temps have been disrupting action, particularly on the big lake. But better conditions could be on the way.

And the lake, also known as Jones State Lake, produces largemouth bass up to 7 pounds.

Employ tactics that cross over to a number of different species, and that work well in a variety of situations.

The crappie bite is hanging on as the summer pattern hits lakes.

Chautauqua Lake is well-known among anglers who enjoy a trophy muskie fishery, some serious walleye and bass action and a winter ice fishing destination as well.
