An animal believed to be a bobcat dropped down from a tree and attacked a couple out on their typical early morning walk Friday in a dense, urban part of South Florida.
Meanwhile, wildlife officials searching for a bobcat after it bit five people, including a 4-year-old girl, at a southern Arizona campground.
The number of permits was doubled from 2017-18, and last year there were 318 bobcats harvested.
What appears to be a family of bobcats was caught on Don Siewert’s game camera in Goodhue County recently.
More than 5,000 hunters/trappers applied for bobcat permits, and 1,000 permits will be issued.
