An angler creel survey in 2010 showed that 53% of Nimisila fishermen were fishing for bass.

The water temperature on northern Ohio lakes has cooled into the low 60s, which is triggering a fall pattern for walleyes, saugeyes, and crappies.

Fair weather days in October can provide a great time to target the lake’s smallmouth bass.

Crews have sampled Kahle Lake almost every fall for more than two decades. The results are almost always good bordering on exceptional.

Falling temperatures have ignited the muskie bite in recent weeks in a number of fisheries.

Water temps in the high 50s across much of the state, which has meant an improved bite in some fisheries.

With a significant cold spell expected to arrive this week, water temperatures should continue to cool down and that should provide even better fall walleye activity.
