The first zebra mussels in the Iowa Great Lake chain were discovered in the fall of 2012 and have increased in numbers since.
Researchers are also trying to determine how the invasive plants and animals are spreading from lake to lake.
Extensive multi-agency search showed no other signs of the invasive; DNR also confirms zebra mussels in Lake Marion, in the city of Lakeville.
