Wisconsin Lake Profile – Old Abe Flowage, Chippewa County
With its stained water and current, Old Abe “fishes well” during the day. There is not a lot of backwater habitat, nor a lot of vegetation. Fish rocks, wood, and current breaks.

Minnesota Lake Profile – Lake Benton, Lincoln County
While walleyes are the primary target in Benton, yellow perch are a close second. They provide high numbers of good-sized fish, which have been a staple in the lake for years as well.

Michigan Lake Profile – Burt Lake, Cheboygan County
Burt Lake has a healthy and robust predator fish community, comprised of walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, smallmouth bass, and rainbow and brown trout, as well as several non-game species such as bowfin, burbot, and longnose
Ohio Lake Profile – West Branch Reservoir, Portage County
The large, 2,642-acre West Branch is perhaps best known for its muskie waters. In 2019, 600 muskies were caught by anglers. The largest was a nearly 50-inch fish.
