Minnesota Lake Profile – North & South Lida lakes, Otter Tail County
While both lakes support walleyes, panfish, bass, and northern pike, there are some differences between the two Lidas. Knowing what to look for and expect from each lake will tip the odds in your favor

Iowa Lake Profile – Arrowhead Pond, Pottawattamie County

Illinois Woods & Waters – Lake Mattoon, Coles/Cumberland/Shelby counties
Not many lakes in the state house saugeyes. Lake Mattoon does, but the cross between sauger and walleyes is only one unique claim to fame for the central Illinois lake.
Wisconsin Lake Profile – Old Abe Flowage, Chippewa County
With its stained water and current, Old Abe “fishes well” during the day. There is not a lot of backwater habitat, nor a lot of vegetation. Fish rocks, wood, and current breaks.
New York Woods & Waters – Ramapo River, Orange & Rockland counties
While the fishing is generally good and the Ramapo River attracts plenty of angling attention, make no mistake: this is clearly a put-and-take trout fishery.
