The ice season is still holding on here on Devils Lake. Here’s how conditions are faring with the warmer week we had and incoming wind.

Taking a drive around Devils Lake to see how the accesses are looking and how the bite is faring as we move through March.

The main sheet of ice on this fishery is holding up very well, with more than a 20-inch ice depth average throughout the lake.

Checking in from out on the Flats, where there was 22 inches of ice and a good walleye bite.

ce conditions and how the accesses are looking as we move through this unseasonable warm weather for the beginning of February.

Access and ice conditions along with how the walleye and perch bite is shaping up after a few days of wind and sub-zero temps.

Anglers have been finding good success chasing basin perch along with targeting structure-driven walleye.

It’s a slow going start to the season and we are still seeing anywhere from open water to 10 inches of ice throughout the Devils Lake Basin.
