Fishing has been a little slow across the state, leaning more toward hunting. For anglers, a little (or more) rain would help the cause.

For some trout anglers, these are the best days of the entire year and come highly anticipated after a hot, dry summer.

Lake trout fishing is hot in the Great Lakes, the Finger Lakes and northern lakes like Lake Champlain and Lake George.
