Those who have kept their boats out are catching fish – walleyes and crappies mostly, along with some bass and muskies.

Cold fall weather shows up, but the bite remains hot. Found some consistency with largemouth bass. Here’s more on the pattern of late.

Walleye bite slowly getting better as water temps continue to drop, which should only help the cause moving forward. And anglers are getting bigger fish, too. Here’s where and how those fish are being caught.

On the walleye front, this weekend presents a full moon, so look for some great opportunities for shallow water activity, especially at night.

Fall is here, and so are the fall patterns. Catching a lot of fish in shallower water. And consistently catching bigger fish, too. Here’s how it’s being done.

The walleye bite is slowly starting to pick up. Fall bite yet to kick into gear, with water temps still just above 60 degrees. Jigs and minnows still doing the trick. So what’s happening with

Walleyes continue to be found shallow and deep throughout the state. A jig and minnow is producing fish on the weedlines, wind-driven points, and shallow structure in 8 to 15 feet on many lakes.

Water temps are actually warming up again, and a warm week is projected ahead. We’ve slowed down our approach to put some fish in the boat. Here’s what’s working.
