Supplemental stocking of walleyes by the DNR’s Fisheries Division, coupled with limited reproduction, has resulted in a viable walleye fishery in North Manistique Lake – also called Round Lake.
Panfish populations are thriving in Lake County’s Big Bass Lake. Just don’t expect to catch many namesakes. The lake is loaded with small bass under 14 inches, but big bass are tough to come by.
It offers a quaint, relatively quiet lake with fishable populations of eater-sized panfish and feisty largemouth bass.
