In addition to its great walleye fishery, Peach Lake also boasts pretty good perch, bluegill, and largemouth bass fishing opportunities.

Unique-to-this-area opportunities center on walleyes and tiger muskies.

What it lacks in size, it makes up for in appearence and some pretty decent trout fishing.

Lizzie’s physical characteristics – an abundance of bulrush and cattail stands, along with plenty of submerged vegetation – provide the ideal situation for its bass and panfish to flourish.

But largemouth bass get most of the hype, and deservedly so. During 49 sanctioned fishing tournaments held on Lake Springfield in 2020, dozens of largemouths topping the 5-pound mark were weighed in.

And the St. Lawrence is not all about bass. Depending on the location and timing, species like northern pike, muskellunge and especially walleyes are all highly sought after in trophy caliber size and numbers.
