Hendricks, Minn. Minnesota’s first wildlife management area will be dedicated on Saturday, July 28 in recognition of the golden anniversary of the Save the Wetlands program that was initiated in 1951 and lead to the establishment of 1,300 WMAs.

The July 28 event will be held at Kvernmo WMA, located southeast of Hendricks in Lincoln County. Other WMA events include dedication of a new WMA in Redwood County, a recognition of WMA contributors at Game Fair on Aug. 11, and an awards ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion on Aug. 28.
