USFWS announces new duck season framework process

The Department of the Interior recently announced that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is finalizing a streamlined process for authorizing seasonal migratory game bird hunting, reducing unnecessary federal rulemaking while providing greater predictability for states, tribes, and hunters.
Under the new process, the USFWS will establish federal hunting season conditions through Migratory Game Bird Hunting memoranda rather than conducting annual federal rulemaking.
