Hopefully, you read my last column about the current world record yellow perch. After reading it, your next thought (like mine), was, what is the next potential record contender?
A quick review of the current record holders from states and provinces within the native range of yellow perch turned up another impressive fish. It appears that the state of Michigan may lay claim to the new world record yellow perch if we all agree that the New Jersey perch last discussed in this space could not be the world record perch.
