The convergence of a great fish and a good idea opened the official Ohio State Record Fish list for another hook-and-line category.
And the individual who put the wheels in motion also happens to love catching the species that made it all happen. Then again, as a hybrid, the new state record is the merger of two species. Credit Jesse Miller, 29, of Middletown, Ohio, for catching an estimated 11- to 12-year-old hybrid crappie on April 1.
