A proposal to establish a sandhill crane hunting season in Wisconsin moved a couple steps forward recently in the state Senate and Assembly.
On Jan. 6, the Assembly Committee on Sporting Heritage held a public hearing on Assembly Bill 117 that would establish a sandhill crane season. Rep. Treig Pronschinske (R-Mondovi) is chairman of the committee. Rep. Paul Tittl (R-Manitowoc) is vice-chairman.
