As the so-called “Driftless” or bluff-country region that covers potions of four states has seen increasing bobcat populations, an Iowa researcher is trying to learn more about its origins. Did the bobcat population of southeast Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin, northeast Iowa, and northwest Illinois naturally exist or move in from somewhere else?
