The use of lead-free ammunition and fishing tackle is another one of those topics somewhat polarizing New York’s outdoor community these days.
In years past, legislation has been proposed that would ban the use of ammo containing lead on all lands owned by New York State as well as New York City watershed properties. Such legislation cleared the state Senate two years ago, but didn’t get out of committee in the Assembly. There’s no telling what may come from future legislative sessions.
