There will be a turkey hunting season in Ohio from Oct. 1 to Oct. 26 this coming fall. But the Ohio Wildlife Council vote to approve the season did not come without controversy.
Prior to that vote at the April 30 council meeting, the normally routine proceedings erupted in a dispute over whether or not hen turkeys should be spared in the fall harvest.
