Wisconsin Roundup: Better days coming for anglers; and why the delay in spring hearing results?

A check with northern Wisconsin bait shops suggest anglers had a good start to the 2025 fishing season, even if it was bit chilly the morning of Saturday, May 3.
It was 33 degrees in Oneida and Vilas counties that morning when I met my learn-to-hunt turkey mentees. Those temps didn’t improve until after 11 a.m. when clouds broke and the sun punched through.
