Ohio Insider: Remembering two important figures in the state’s outdoors

Ken Fitz, the longtime Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife law enforcement supervisor, passed away Feb. 1 after a long illness. He was just 61.

A couple of people whom I’ve worked with over the past couple of decades recently passed on and I’d like to talk about them a bit.

We carried the story about Ken Fitz’s passing in our March 14 edition. Fitz was the longtime ODNR Division of Wildlife law enforcement supervisor who passed away Feb. 1 after a long illness. He was just 61. Fitz was a warrior. He battled health difficulties for years but never complained, at least not to me.
