On Jan. 26, I saw that a fork-horn buck that I am acquainted with was missing its right antler.
While the larger, most active breeder bucks are often the first to drop their antlers as testosterone levels sharply drop after the rut has been finished for a sufficient period of time, this nonetheless alerted me that deer antler shedding season was now underway.
