Notes off a soiled cuff: Pennsylvania Game Commission receives fewer royalties from natural gas last year

At the recent House Game and Fisheries Committee hearing on returning the opening day of deer season to Monday in Pennsylvania, there was an interesting exchange between Rep. Jim Haddock and Steve Smith, Game Commission executive director, that I didn’t get into my news story about the session in the last issue.
Perhaps I should have included it, because some believe it cuts to the heart of the ongoing Saturday vs. Monday opener debate.
