While a national election drained personal bandwidth from citizens in 2024, Minnesota’s outdoors issues pushed through a few low points but a lot of high points, too.
Deer and turkey hunters saw harvest increases, but upland bird-hunting reports were mixed. From a public policy standpoint, that darned carp barrier on the Mississippi River finally found dollars, and Minnesotans overwhelmingly supported funding the environment with lottery dollars again.
