The Senate Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee met Thursday, Feb. 29, to discuss and advance legislation. The bills focused on eliminating the shotgun zone, establishing a Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee, and the Keep it Clean program.
The shotgun zone elimination bill has been a consistent topic the past few years at the State Capitol. It nearly being passed last year, but the bill fizzled at the finish line when several southern Minnesota counties demanded they retain the shotgun zone.
