Sporting interests monitor Albany as New York legislative session nears the end

As the 2023 legislative session is about to conclude in Albany on June 8, sportsmen are watching the clock to see what will develop surrounding legislative items that could affect members of the sporting community, primarily hunters.
After a break for Memorial Day weekend that began May 24, the legislature will reconvene May 30 for three days, and then four more days June 5-8. Here’s a look at five legislative items sportsmen are watching, and where things stand.
