New this year, hunters may only harvest one male turkey per spring season, per hunter. That’s a change from the previous bag limit of two birds per hunter, per season. This change was proposed by the ODNR Division of Wildlife and approved by the Ohio Wildlife Council.
Mark Wiley, a Division of Wildlife biologist in charge of the state’s turkey program, says he is encouraged heading into the season after coming off of two consecutive good poult years.
