Wildlife Production Areas are hidden hunting gems around Ohio

For some savvy Ohio hunters, finding a piece of public ground is to think small, not big.
And in the process these mostly bird and rabbit hunters have cornered the market on finding wild pheasants, a warren of cottontails and even a smattering here-and-there covey of quail. Toss in a cagey white-tailed deer, and such parcels become coveted havens peppering a portion of Ohio’s minimally available public hunting landscape.
