Specifically, a bill passed last month by the House, which is now in the Senate (and supported by President Trump) would make Daylight Savings Time permanent. We’re currently observing DST, so if this bill becomes law we would not set our clocks back an hour overnight Oct. 31 into Nov. 1 this fall. That’s when DST is set to end for the winter months.
