It’s no surprise that New York hunters have been most interested and most vocal about the upcoming changes to the state’s deer-hunting regulations, especially the “earn-a-second-buck” plan.
Deer and deer hunting, quite simply, drive hunter interest – and hunter satisfaction or dissatisfaction – pretty much across the country. But I’m just as interested, and perhaps moreso, in DEC’s newly-released pheasant management plan and the state’s proposal to use the birds as a tool in boosting the ranks of hunters, especially younger hunters.
