14-year-old from Mequon earns Wisconsin Conservation Congress youth bear tag

Stuart Szelmeczki, 14, of Mequon, is going bear hunting this fall. Conservation Congress District Leadership Council member Mike Rogers, of Merrimac, presented the special Conservation Congress learn-to-hunt (LTH) bear tag to Szelmeczki in front of the congress’s statewide conference in May.
Congress and other conservation organizations each year receive a bear harvest tag through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) learn-to-hunt bear program started in 2005.
