Catfishing on Ohio’s Seneca Lake with a pair of ‘pros’

When the young man walked up to the Ohio Outdoor News booth at the National Fishing Expo in Columbus last January, he gave away his identity as soon as he smiled.

All the years removed from the Junior Renegades bass fishing club and 13 years in the service of our nation couldn’t disguise Tyler Barnhart when he asked if I recognized him. He became an accomplished bass fisherman as a junior angler, but an earlier angling experience forged his true fishing preference.
