Jeffrey Frischkorn: The English sparrow — a beast beyond the beauty

No one will (or should not, anyway) question that the English sparrow is a handsome little fellow, as are its 12 sub-species, particularly the males. Briefly, the male’s body is dressed with an attractive melding of brown, white, and black, plus a wonderfully done black throat.
