At one point in the not-all-that distant past, Penn Roosevelt State Park was the scene of bustling summertime activity.
With a portion of Stone Creek dammed as its centerpiece, the lake was a destination of many people seeking relief from the heat of summer in its cool waters. Sadly, the dam was found to be unsafe, the water drained, but the park is still there.
