Ohio DNR alters ruffed grouse hunting in the state

Grouse hunting in Ohio will now be via a permit- only system that will limit who can hunt and when. (Stock photo)

Ruffed grouse hunting is effectively banned in Ohio – at least for the time being  – following action by the state’s wildlife council on April 29.
A rule to end grouse hunting in Ohio passed with only one “no” vote – that of council member Karen Stewart-Linkhart.
