Pennsylvania bill would lift shotgun plug requirement for snow geese

Legislators will soon consider a bill aimed at lifting the plugging requirement for shotguns during the snow goose conservation season, bringing Pennsylvania in line with federal regulations.
During a March 25 House Game and Fisheries Committee meeting, unanimous approval was given to a bill authored by state Rep. Thomas Mehaffie, R-Dauphin County, to remove the plugging requirement limiting capacity to two shells in the magazine for shotguns during the snow goose conservation season.
