It’s March in the Upper Peninsula – well over halfway through our winter season. Lake ice remains thick here, and we’ve had over two months of good ice fishing on inland lakes this season.
Ice anglers have been on the big lake bays for a while now. Still, I’ve only filmed two ice fishing stories this season. I’m slacking. But on a recent morning, I left my house at 5:15 a.m. to drive over 2½ hours east to Munising to film my third.
