Steve Carney: Seek out ‘shade’ for panfish under the ice

Every once in a while you learn something on the water (or the ice) that qualifies as revolutionary.
A buddy recently came across a pattern of locating crappies and bluegills under snow drifts. I can’t believe I haven’t stumbled on this pattern myself, but I tried it out recently and found success. Here are some thoughts on this revolutionary technique.
