Kristina Smitten takes over as director of Minnesota’s Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council

Late last year, Minnesota’s Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council selected Kristina Smitten to be its next executive director, taking over for Mark Johnson.
As of Friday, Jan. 16, Smitten had wrapped up her first full week in the role after Johnson’s retirement and was anticipating the next chapter ahead with the council.
“This is work that I’m passionate about and that’s really what’s driven me here,” Smitten said.
