The Michigan Department of Natural Resources confirmed 41 cases of chronic wasting disease in wild deer in 2025, including three in counties with no previous positives.
Another four deer tested positive for tuberculosis out of more than 4,500 samples from an 11-county surveillance area in the northeast Lower Peninsula. CWD-positive deer were found in Washtenaw, Genesee and Allegan counties for the first time.
