Dan Ladd: With a new year, outdoor focus in New York turns to legislation

The New York State legislature reconvenes Jan. 7 for the 2026 session. So, here we go again, as basically from now through June 4 when the session ends, there will be plenty of attention paid to the goings on in Albany, as there should be.
