Ohio native Bill Lowen reflects on solid year in pro bass fishing, family and hunting

“Well, thanks. It was finally fun for once.”
That line came from professional bass fisherman Bill Lowen accepting long-distance congratulations for his outstanding year on the 2025 Bassmaster Elite Tour. After winning the second event of the season with a victory margin of 4 ounces at the FXR Pro Fish Bassmaster Elite tournament on Florida’s St. Johns River, Lowen secured a 12th place finish in the Bassmaster Angler of the Year (AOY) race by the end of the season.
