Dan Ladd: Could this be the year snow creates conflict between hunters, snowmobilers during New York’s Holiday Week Hunt?

My wife’s biggest hobby is crafts, particularly Christmas crafts, and each year in early December our house turns into a Christmas craft store for a very popular tour that she’s part of. And each year the weather situation seems to work out for her and others on the tour.
But I keep saying that one of these years a big storm is going to put a damper on things. I feel the same way about New York’s annual holiday week hunt, which is about to go down Dec. 26 through Jan. 1, 2026.
