Leaders commit to 15-year Chesapeake Bay restoration plan

In an important show of unity, the region’s governors and federal partners recently agreed to a Chesapeake Bay restoration plan for the next 15 years.
At a Chesapeake Executive Council meeting in Baltimore, a host of state and federal leaders committed to the latest version of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement – including Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

Grants available in Pennsylvania’s York, Lancaster watersheds

The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission recently announced that grant funding opportunities are available to fund stream habitat improvement projects through the York and Lancaster Counties Habitat Improvement Program.
Funding for the grant program is being provided by two sources, the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station and the Muddy Run Pumped Storage Project.
