For Minnesota fishing guides and anglers who use tip-ups while ice fishing, there will be a new tool to potentially include in your arsenal when hitting the ice: automatic, non-motorized hook-setting devices.
John Dunn, DNR fisheries rules and regulations coordinator, said in the wake of announcing the use of the new option this winter, he’s fielded questions about the motorization of the devices.
