Steve Pollick: Extending the tradition of deer camp relies on ‘old, middle and new bucks’

Deer Camp. For a hunting clan, it is the central event of the year, a tradition to be observed and savored above all, no apologies to Thanksgiving or Christmas.
If you are lucky, you will get to share Deer Camp with two – and better still, three – generations of family members, the ones who came with the hunting gene. Shoppers and golfers need not apply. Each generation brings something else to the table.
