Despite snow and wind affecting hunters in some parts of Minnesota during last weekend’s firearms deer opener, harvest is in line with last year, with the potential to surpass 2024’s opening-weekend take, officials say.
Hunters in the southwestern and northeastern portions of the state sat through snow and wind, along with the chill felt throughout Minnesota as a cold front pushed in, just in time for the season’s opening. However, milder weather lie ahead during the upcoming weekend.
