Supreme Court refuses to take up appeal in ‘corner-crossing’ case

The act known as “corner crossing” will remain legal in six Western states within the 10th Circuit Court District after the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected a Wyoming ranch owner’s request for appeal of a 2021 trespass case.
Had the U.S. Supreme Court taken up the appeal and sided with the 10th Circuit Court ruling, corner crossing could have been expanded nationwide. Now, the ruling will only apply to the states in that circuit.
